THE STUDIOS: ORION

Last time I covered my favorite movies distributed by TOUCHSTONE PICTURES, this time I want to focus on ORION which launched in 1978 and operated until 1998.

Orion was originally a joint venture between Warner Bros. and 3 top executives from United Artists, and throughout their 20 years had some sizable hits, 4 Best Picture winners and worked with some very big directors such as Woody Allen, Oliver Stone, Milos Forman, James Cameron and Jonathan Demme to name a few.

Going through this list, it is surprising just how solid Orion's output was.  I knew they had some big movies, but whittling it down to my favorite 20 proved to be difficult yet here it is.
