Shrimp Tacos with Cilantro Lime Sauce
The spicy, flavorful shrimp and the creamy, tangy cilantro lime sauce in these shrimp tacos go really well together. Perfect for a quick and tasty meal!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp lime zest
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper
Add shrimp and toss to coat
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat
Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque
Remove from heat
In a separate bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, minced garlic, and lime zest to prepare the cilantro lime sauce
Warm the corn tortillas in the skillet for about 30 seconds on each side
To assemble tacos, place a spoonful of shredded lettuce on each tortilla, followed by cooked shrimp, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro
Drizzle the cilantro lime sauce over the toppings in each taco
Serve the shrimp tacos immediately and enjoy!
